Jim's passion in real estate is helping his clients buy and sell ranch and recreational properties in eastern Idaho and western Wyoming. With decades of experience with ranch properties, Jim knows how complicated the process of buying and selling these properties can be, and he knows how to smoothly and skillfully work with his clients through a successful transaction. Multiple stakeholders, government agencies, mineral and water rights, animal and fish habitat and millions of dollars in the balance are some of the many moving parts to this segment of real estate. Jim's experience gives his clients a competitive advantage in understanding both ranch and recreational as well as luxury residential real estate.
A born entrepreneur, Jim started his first company in 1994 less than a year after graduating from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. He has started four other companies and helped build WorldCast Anglers into the largest fly-fishing outfitter in the United States. He was a big-game hunting guide in Wyoming for 15 years, a member of the United States Fly Fishing Team and competitor in two world championships. Additionally, Jim was an outfitter in Montana, Idaho and Wyoming as well as an international host and fly-fishing guide, which included running his own lodge in Patagonia, Chile. An accomplished horseman, Jim has ranch and recreational pursuits and outdoor adventure running through his veins.
Whether saddling a horse for a ride into the mountains or helping clients see the subtle details of a trout stream on a property, Jim believes and lives the philosophy that real estate is about relationships and invests deeply in each one
